Christian Scripture is ambivalent in its view of human nature, and because Christian doctrine has over-emphasized Paul's pessimistic construction of human nature. The latter makes nonsense of moral responsibility, because it posits a deterministic model of human nature that is inconsistent with human experience, moral exhortation and human reason. Jesus' system of morality, which most liberals greatly admire, conflicts with the misanthropy expressed in Pauline doctrine. Jesus' ethical teachings are more consistent with the values of enlightenment humanism than with biblical theocracy, which Jesus spent his rabbinical career assailing.
'Christianity' is an abstract concept badly in need of analysis and definition. The authoritarian Christian right have assumed, with little argument, that Pauline doctrine is more essential to 'Christianity' than the teachings and traditions about Jesus, where they conflict. And conflict they do.
To outline how and where Pauline doctrine is incompatible with the "American worldview" it is important to clarify my terms first. For the purposes of this essay a 'Christian worldview' is defined as the Pauline doctrine of salvation, according to which all of humankind are rendered 'sinners' by virtue of the past transgressions of our progenitors Adam and Eve, or by virtue of an intrinsic defect in human nature. This same Pauline doctrine also makes it a matter of Christian orthodoxy that Jesus' sacrificial death on our behalf atoned for man's sin and offered each of us redeeming salvation by means of the profession of the Christian faith and obedience to its rules. 'Christianity' in this context does not refer to the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth but to the Pauline teachings about the significance of his death and resurrection for the salvation of mankind.
America was founded during the age of Enlightenment in which reason was the primary basis for authority. The late 18th century zeitgeist included unprecedented questioning of the authority of the established church. The new emphasis on freedom of conscience in religion meant that believers needed to be convinced, not merely coerced. The founding fathers understood that an individual's confession of faith had to be the outcome of a free choice, and that anything less was not worthy of the name. Nevertheless, America's founding documents displayed a powerful moral thrust and a commitment to a distinct set of values that set it apart from the monarchies and theocracies of the past. The core values of our founding documents are
(1) the primacy of the individual
(2) freedom
(3) reason
(4) justice, and
(5) toleration and diversity.
Each of these values is incompatible with the definition of Christianity summarized above...

A professor invited to speak at the University of Winnipeg earlier this month was accused of anti-Semitism after his lecture, sparking a debate on the limits of academic free speech.
Anthony Hall, professor in the department of globalization studies at the University of Lethbridge, Alberta, was invited to speak by the U of W’s sociology department as their annual distinguished lecturer on March 6.
He presented a paper called Bush League Justice: Should George W. Bush be Arrested in Calgary Alberta to be Tried for International Crimes?.
After his lecture, Hall was confronted by a group including Rhonda Spivak, editor of local publication The Jewish Post and News, and U of W psychology professor Evelyn Schaefer.
The group accused Hall of anti-Semitism based on an unrelated article, in which he suggested Israeli intelligence services, among many others, had prior knowledge of the 9-11 terrorist attacks. The article appears on mtl911truth.org, a website that also features a swastika.

An Infowars reader has sent photographs of an expansion underway at the Houston National Cemetery in Texas administered by the VA. “Could this be related to what is going on in Phoenix? I noticed both the concrete structures that go in the ground as well as some plastic coffin liners. Could it be a regular expansion of the cemetery? It seems to be an operation of a smaller scale than what is going on in Phoenix, or perhaps I am late and many of the concrete structures are already in the ground and covered up,” the reader writes in an email sent with photo attachments.
On March 25, Infowars posted a report filed by Shepard Ambellas on an apparent mass grave site under construction at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona.
It has yet to be established what these grave sites are for, although an official contacted at the Phoenix cemetery told Jason Douglas, producer of Jason Bermas’ Infowarrior radio show, that the practice of digging multiple graves with large crypts is commonplace.

One of our regular memebers, pastor Steven Hibbs Tonka abused that freedom to such a point, that, the whole idea had to be reconsidered and I canceled the forums (they are still undeleted but freezed..
I was happy to join and lead others to 911truth.movement.org forums, they had actually experience in such situations and their structure was fantastic, even those banned had a sort of "jail" section to be able to make their point and explain how or if they didn't break the rules " usually after many warnings of cohersion, bullying, insults, defamation, multiple personality disorder;) etc...) We were starting to get in those forums to a level of coordination that despite many attempts of provocateurs and agents the truth was being exposed close to gathering sufficient information to make prosecutors take action, in the U.S., Rome and everywhere. These forums then simply banished, the owner of the domain was aparently threatened and complied.
My apologies to all of the friends and members from here, managing the forums was becoming quite a load considering our priorities.
Free speech in the absolute worked well for a long time, but now with the realization that the guarantees should have been given to transparency rather than infinite tolerance of abusive "at best" behavior was my blind spot, my mistake

(CounterThink) I recently moved to Ecuador. Not for a vacation. Not for a month or two. I moved to Ecuador for good, as a permanent resident. Upon hearing my plans for living in South America, many people who knew me in the States asked things like, "Well what about the stability of Ecuador as a nation?" To which I would respond, "Oh, you mean the stability of banks that don't make loans and don't invest in derivatives? You mean the stability of a nation where the population still has the courage to march in the streets and throw corrupt officials out of its capitol?"
These questions make Americans pause. Most tend to think of public demonstrations as signs of a political instability. But in fact, public demonstrations are a sign of a healthy Democratic process. And Democracy is alive and well in Ecuador (with the usual level of corruption you find in any democracy).
It is in America, where the sheeple have been terrorized into staying inside the boundaries of their little "protest zones," that you find a fragile, unstable nation.
Through complacency and fear-mongering, most Americans have become cowards when it comes to political activism. They think emailing their Senator a few times a year is all that's required to defend freedom and preserve a nation. Marching in the streets is seen as uncivilized... or even unpatriotic! A 10-month investigation by a team of researchers at the University of Toronto uncovered a broad Chinese espionage scheme that reached into foreign embassies, news services and even the office of the Dalai Lama.
The researchers says the system — called GhostNet — sent e-mails that introduced malware into host computers, which in turn fed information back to servers located on the Chinese mainland.
"The GhostNet system directs infected computers to download a Trojan (horse) known as ghOst RAT that allows attackers to gain complete, real-time control," the authors write in Tracking GhostNet: Investigating a Cyber Espionage Network.
"Our investigation reveals that GhostNet is capable of taking full control of infected computers, including searching and downloading specific files, and covertly operating attached devices, including microphones and web cameras."
